Where it works
Competitor Density works in Toronto, across Ontario and anywhere else OpenStreetMap lists businesses. Residents per competitor uses the 2021 Census, so it appears for Ontario addresses only.
How it works
Choose one of 16 categories, or search a brand or business name. We count the businesses OpenStreetMap lists in rings of 0.5, 1 and 2 km around the site, counting a business mapped twice, as a point and as a building outline, once. Distances are straight-line, not by road, and residents per competitor divides the census population within 1 km by the number of competitors there.
