Site Reach Analysis

How far can you get from the front door?

We read the real OpenStreetMap street network, start at the building's frontages and travel outward on foot, by bike and by car. Every footpath, laneway and dead end counted. Made for Toronto and Ontario addresses, and works wherever OpenStreetMap maps the streets.

Where it works

Site Reach works for addresses in Toronto and across Ontario, and for any other place where OpenStreetMap maps the streets. It reads that map for the address you choose, so there is no city list to wait for.

How it works

Travel starts where the building's frontage meets the street network, or at the nearest street point to the address, and spreads outward along OpenStreetMap footpaths, cycleways and roads. Walk and bike use slow, average and fast speeds you can edit; driving follows each road's speed limit, eased for the type of road, and waits at every traffic light, stop sign and speed hump. Each time band you choose (5, 10 and 15 minutes to start) is drawn on the map with the length of street, and the transit stops, groceries, schools, parks and healthcare, it reaches.
